Funny Car Fever

Featuring 21 year old sensation Leah Pruett Leduc - NHRA Nitro Nostalgia Funny Car Driver who competes in the NHRA Heritage Series. She made her ownhistory at the 52nd famed March Meet in Bakersfield, by not only winning the event in Funny Car, but also the first female to ever do so at the March Meet. This 21 yr. old defeated 63year old NHRA veteran Pro Nitro Funny Car Driver Gary Densham.

The 29th Annual Funny Car Fever is back to Heat Up The Track April 23rd and 24th 2010 at Sacramento Raceway. Presented by 619 Promotions along with some of their sponsors, which include Amsoil, Riebes Auto Parts and Wyotech
will have an 8 car open qualified field of 250mph nitromethane burning Funny Cars that will be competing at Sacramento Raceway.

Featuring 63year old NHRA Pro Nitro Funny Car Driver Gary Densham who has been competing on the NHRA circuit since the1970s. Densham who taught auto shop for 28 years in Southern California will be competing in his Nitro Funny Car "Teacher's Pet”. Don’t miss Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car Record Holder Lee Jennings driving Code Red with a top speed of 251mph along with several other high speed Nitro Funny Cars that are packed with 4,000 horsepower and reach speeds of 250mph in just under six seconds.

Other classes joining this action packed event include CIFCA Funny Cars-California Independent Funny Car Association, Outlaw Pro Mods, 7.0 Pro Dragsters, 7.0 Slammers, Pro Gas, Top Dragster, Pro Gassers, Top Sportsmen, Super 16 Dragsters/Altereds and Drag Bikes capable of 220+. Returning to Funny Car Fever is the “Beast” Jet Dragster powered by a 7,000 horsepower turbine jet engine that will be racing “Terminal Velocity” for a special exhibition run.
